Learners asked, and we listened
In 2013, The Oncologist launched the Conference Perspectives series of in-depth reporting from major oncology conferences. In 2017, the Society for Translational Oncology (STO) surveyed more than 34,000 clinicians to ask what additional features would best support their evidence-based oncology practice.
In total, 65% requested even more conference news analysis from expert faculty, and 56% asked for patient cases to illustrate conference take-home messages. Further, 66% expressed an interest in obtaining CME credit by engaging in online patient cases.
Conference Perspectives: Lessons Learned is the new CME-certified companion to Conference Perspectives. In Lessons Learned, leading faculty provide case-based guidance for applying new research findings to oncology patient care.
The Society for Translational Oncology (STO) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) as an accredited provider of physician education. STO designates each case-based Conference Perspectives: Lessons Learned activity for .5 to 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Conference Perspectives: Lessons Learned is a multi-supported educational initiative. Activities to date are supported by educational grants from Amgen, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Clovis Oncology, Lilly USA, LLC, and Sanofi Genzyme.
